Descriptive

1.      The transformer is liquid filled, self-cooled type ONAN.

2.      Each transformer has a sealed tank construction to prevent breathing. Adequate gas space is provided to limit internal pressure due to load cycle operation.  All transformer tanks are designed to withstand an internal pressure of 15psi.

3.      Each transformer is furnished filled with insulating fluid.  Before shipment, the upper air space is purged and filled with dry nitrogen to a pressure to be specified by the manufacturer.  This nitrogen padding don not contain more than 2% oxygen.

4.      Each transformer is furnished with lifting lugs at each corner of the tank for lifting the entire unit. Loops are furnished for lifting the cover. Provisions are made at each corner of the base for jacking the complete transformer. The base is suitable for rolling and skidding in the directions parallel to the transformer center lines.

5.      Two (2) tin plated copper ground pads are furnished on the transformer base. Provisions are made for terminating two 95mm² copper equipment grounding conductors at each pad.

6.      Each transformer is furnished with primary and secondary side bushings. All bushings are individually removable and have copper stud terminals. Each transformer has a neutral bushing with a current rating equal to that of the phase bushings.
